Description

Huron Pines is excited to bring biologists, birders, anglers, sportsmen, private industry and conservationists together to realize a common goal--protecting our unique natural resources. Join this high impact group and plant an acre of jack pine! Not only is jack pine home to the endangered Kirtland?s warbler and many game species, but upland forests act as rainwater filters, supplying our world renowned trout streams with cold, clear water. All of the wonderful and valuable natural resources of northern Michigan are interconnected. Our Jack Pine Planting Volunteer Day is an opportunity for the public to learn about these connections and their importance, all while planting future Kirtland?s warbler habitat.
