Family Advocate and Mental Health Therapist

The Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center is seeking a full-time Family Advocate to provide coverage at both our Roscommon and Tawas site. This position is responsible for providing information and support to children and non-offending families members who are referred to the NMCAC.  Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in a human service field.  Duties also include, case tracking, follow-up, court support and community engagement.  Benefits include: Medical, dental and vision insurance, IRA with 3% match by the employer.  Salary to start at $37,500 annually, negotiable with experience. The Northern Michigan Children’s Assessment Center is seeking a full-time mental health therapist. The therapist will be responsible for providing therapy/treatment to both children and family members who have experienced trauma in Roscommon County. Candidates must have a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related mental health field and must possess State of Michigan licensure in their area of mental health OR work towards obtaining this license while employed. Preference will be given to individuals who have experience working with trauma victims and are trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT). Benefits include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance, IRA with 3% match by the employer, paid CEU's and training and clinical supervision. The NMCAC is also an approved site for employees to apply for student loan forgiveness through the NHSC loan repayment program.
