Veterans Benefit Golf Outing

Description

The inaugural Veteran’s Benefit Golf Outing will be held on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Green Hills Golf Course in Linwood.  The Bay County Veterans Council has endorsed this event.  All proceeds will go to benefit the following organizations that help veterans and their families in the greater Bay-Saginaw Area:  

• Saginaw VA Medical Center (patient needs)
• Sailor & Soldier Relief Fund of Bay County (van transportation, emergency relief)
• Area homeless veterans
• USS Edson Educational Programs of the Saginaw Valley Naval Ship Museum, and
• Bay County Veterans’ Council Honor Guard

The purpose of this event is to provide direct assistance for vets in need of items or services through existing channels that do not have sufficient resources to meet the increasing demand.
